On the other hand, we did come across high server ping or load times which proved to be frustrating. Furthermore, we did not find any Favorites system nor a Recently Accessed list that could help reconnect us to the previous location. But, you can expect to switch to another server without the need to manually disconnect the server. It is an area where Alpha VPN shines in front of other VPN services. By going through the tabs, you get to familiarize yourself to its interesting touches.
We made it a point to enable Smart DNS as it allowed us to access more websites and platforms. There is also built-in DNS leak protection which we appreciated. The VPN supports most of the protocols like Open VPN, L2TP, SSTP, IKEv2, and PPTP which was quite remarkable for a free app. As we continued testing the app by trying to close it manually, it did get stuck for a few seconds after which it closed. Even if there was a drop in internet connection while using the VPN, it proceeded to reconnect and ensured that we were able to browse the internet without any trouble.
We found both the iOS and Android apps to be somewhat similar to their desktop counterpart. There are separate tabs for the Smart DNS along with VPN options as well as a Connect button which has a basic list of locations.

Alpha VPN does provide support to its users. However, you will need to be patient if you want to get in touch with its technical support team for resolving any issues down the road.
