Windows and Androids

1. First of all, install VPN client, that is pre-configured, go to connect.tamu.edu. You will have to login by using your NetID and password.
2. If you cannot join by login your NetID and password, you may contact to Help center for help at (979) 845-8300  
3. After reaching connect.tamu.edu you will have two options, “Group tunnel all traffic” and “tunnel tamu traffic”. The websites that end with “something.tamu.edu” its data will be tunnel by “tunnel tamu traffic”. And the option “tunnel all traffic” will tunnel data by all the VPNs. This is very important when web have to get access to different articles and journals from all the network resources that need you to be connected from IP address of Texas A&M.
4. After that you will reach a website attempt so that you can recognize Operating system. You will have to select the option of allow, it will take few moments to do this.
5. Tap on a button “Download for windows”, it will start downloading and configuring a VPN Client.
6. After downloading VPN client successfully, Open file and installation process will be started. A prompt will show, click on Run.
7. This process will quickly start, follow all the prompts that will appear to finish installation.
8. After this, enter connect.tamu.edu and tap on collect.
9. Enter your NetID and passwords then click OK. You will get notification from Duo, complete the process of authentication.
10. After authentication with Duo, connection process will be completed. 
11. From play store of google, download AnyConnect client.
12. Open app, tap on connections
13. Click on “Add new VPN connections”
14. Add description for VPN connection, like tamu etc. In server address add “connect.tamu.edu”
15. Press Done to finish the process.
16. AnyConnect will never save any of your information, every time you want to connect, you have to reenter your data.
17. Procedure for androids will be same as of windows.

Mac

1. To connect to tamu VPN on macOS, you will have to follow these steps
2. First of all, install VPN client, that is pre-configured, go to connect.tamu.edu. You will have to login by using your NetID and password.
3. If you cannot join by login your NetID and password, you may contact to Help center for help at (979) 845-8300  
4. After reaching connect.tamu.edu you will have two options, “Group tunnel all traffic” and “tunnel tamu traffic”. 5. You will then reach to a website and your computer OS and processors will be analyzed.
6. After analysis, you may have a option of “Download for macOS” button.
7. You will then ask “where to save file”, you can choose any location on your device to save, but if you are not asked where to save then it may be saved to your documents by default. Search for a file which have “AnyConnect” at start and “.dmg” at end. After finding the file, double click on its installer will be attached to it, and a window will be opened.
8. Double click on the button you see in the window; you will see installer window.
9. Completely follow the steps, until the process complete. 
10. Add server connect.tamu.edu. tap connect.
11. Add your NetID and password. Notification will be sent to Duo. After that follow the same procedure as for windows.

iPhone

1. To have access to network resources via VPN on iPhone follow the following steps
2. On your iPhone, from App store of iTunes, install “AnyConnect VPN from Cisco Systems, Inc.”
3. After loading a App, you will see the option of “Home Screen”. Click on connections to setup VPN.
4. After you launch the app, you will be presented with the Cisco AnyConnect “Home Screen.” Tap on Connections to setup a VPN configuration.
5. Add description for VPN connection, like tamu etc. In server address add “connect.tamu.edu”
6. Press advanced to finish the process
7. Advanced screen will be presented, On the toggle “networking roaming” and press certificate. Choose the option to “disable”, then click on advanced tab.
8. Click on save, then click option of allow when prompt appears. Enter passwords.
9. AnyConnect VPN client and Tamu will be installed successfully on your iPhone. 
10. On “Home screen”, On the toggle of “AnyConnect VPN”
11. You have to authenticate now, In the place of user name enter NetID and in password enter your NetID password accordingly. You will receive a notification via Duo.
12. Your iPhone is now connected to VPN. To disconnect simple Off the toggle.
